Sometimes our students need a break from theory, a break from playing their instrument- just a break. This card game allows your student to still connect with music in perhaps a new personalized way.

What’s Included:

  • Write Down a Song Flash Cards

Set Up:

  • Print out flash cards

  • Tape card fronts and backs together

  • Laminate

How it Works:

Each card has a different instruction to prompt various types of songs to share. These might include favorite songs, songs that describe you, songs you have to make up, etc. Take turns drawing a card. Each player reads the card aloud and follow its instructions. Most cards are fairly self explanatory. Below, you will find the description to the green card in all caps:

“I Bet You Don’t Know It But Give It A Go”- this card asks the player (A)  to share a song title with another player B) of their choosing that they think player B will not know. Player B will then do their best to sing/create this song based on the title alone. This is sure to get a few laughs!
